Inspired by the coming of spring, this painting draws on the lighthearted feeling I get when I see bright green grass covering the hills on a sunny day in the countryside. The luscious new spring growth of green grass makes we want to lie back in it and stare up at the bright, shining sky. This feeling connects to many childhood memories looking up at the blue clouds making their way across the sky as the sun warms my face and peace fills my heart.
